Female Porn Addicts: Pornography Addiction is Not Just a Man’s Disorder

Watching a soft-core porn movie for entertainment. Checking out a pornography site out of curiosity. Watching porn with your husband to improve your marriage. It starts out innocently enough, but these actions have resulted in 17% of women (including Christian women) becoming porn addicts.

When a woman’s porn addiction is exposed, some social circles scoff and ridicule her worse than they would a man who exposes his addiction. Lets dispense of society’s belief that decent Christian women are above watching porn and only “loose” women are into that sort of thing. This is not a man’s disorder anymore. The number of women and teenage girls suffering from pornography addiction is growing. Seventy percent of women who access porn keep it a secret. This percentage will be the next generation of female porn addicts.

Female porn addicts are more than likely to act out what they see with a partner than male porn addicts. Most women fall into porn addiction out of loneliness. Others fall into it as a side affect from sexual abuse.

I’m A Female Porn Addict. Where Can I Find Help?

There are two websites that are for women and by women concerning pornography addiction.

Dirty Girls Ministries

Don’t be thrown by the name. The website name is designed to attract people searching for pornography.

Pink Cross Foundation

The Pink Cross Foundation has a forum for females who struggle with porn and sex addiction. The foundation (as a whole) is a place where addicts can find help and pornstars can find hope.

Note: X3Pure provides a 30-day online workshop for single female addicts. The workshop cost $99.
